Cosmetic Dentistry

Everyone deserves to have a smile they feel good about showing off. If you hide your smile or avoid showing it altogether, this can negatively impact your professional and social life—as well as how others might perceive you.

With today’s cosmetic dentistry procedures, many affordable options can enhance your smile and the experienced team at Lee J. Martin, DMD, would love to help.

Here are some of the ways we can make cosmetic improvements to your smile.

Teeth Whitening

Perhaps your teeth and gums are healthy, but your smile isn’t as white as it could be. Professional teeth whitening is a popular cosmetic dentistry option—and with good reason: It’s affordable and effective. You can achieve dramatic results in a short amount of time.

We offer two methods for teeth whitening at our Garden City, GA practice: in-office and at-home systems. For immediate results, our in-office treatment gives you a smile that is whiter and brighter in just about the time of the average lunch hour. Walk out of our office with whiter teeth than when you walked in!

If you prefer to whiten in the privacy of your own home, you can use our convenient at-home system. It comes with custom trays that are designed to fit over your teeth perfectly. We will also provide you with professional-strength whitening gel.

You can use the trays for touch-up treatments in the future to keep your smile its whitest and brightest.

Porcelain Veneers

If you have teeth that are resistant to teeth whitening or are other imperfect, porcelain veneers might be the answer. These wafer-thin tooth covers fit on your teeth—those that show when you smile—and can cover up a multitude of problems such as gaps, chips, and discoloration. They can even camouflage misalignment, enabling you to avoid orthodontic treatment. Many of your favorite Hollywood celebrities have likely had their smiles boosted through the magic of porcelain veneers.

Caring for veneers is easy: brush and floss as you usually would and stay current with bi-annual trips to the dentist for check-ups and cleanings. With proper care, they can last for many years.

Cosmetic Bonding

If you have gaps or spaces between your teeth or a chipped tooth, dental bonding might be the answer. This non-invasive cosmetic option can usually improve your smile’s appearance in just one appointment.

For cosmetic bonding, we use the same composite resin that is used for tooth-colored fillings to repair teeth that are imperfect or damaged. This procedure can also be used to protect the tooth root if it has become exposed because of gum recession.
