Lee Martin DMD

Your First Visit

Welcome to Lee J. Martin, DMD, your Garden City, GA, general and cosmetic dental practice. Our experienced team looks forward to providing you and your family with the very best in dental care.

If you are a new patient, you might be wondering what to expect when you take a seat in the dental chair. After you are greeted by our friendly staff, one of our team members will take you back to a treatment room and get you settled into a dental chair. You can expect a tooth-by-tooth examination, an evaluation of your gum health, and an oral cancer screening every time you come in.

Most of our patients will also have a professional clean done at their first visit. We will likely recommend that you allow us to take x-rays at your first appointment.

Checkups and Cleanings

If you are like many of our patients, you are coming in for the first time because you are due for a routine examination and cleaning. Some patients express embarrassment if it’s been a while since their last visit to the dentist. We want to assure you that you will find our clinic to be judgment-free. We are not worried about the past; we are concerned only with the future and getting you back on track for enjoying good oral health in the future.

If you have come to us for another reason, such as a dental emergency, your visit will involve us getting you out of pain so you are comfortable again. We will provide any treatment we can at that time, then make a recommendation for further treatment, if necessary.

What You Should Bring to Your First Appointment

You can come in a bit early to fill out our new patient paperwork, or you can save time by downloading the forms from our website, filling them out at home, and bringing them along to your first appointment.

We will ask you about your medical history before your exam, so be sure to let us know about any medical conditions or allergies.

If you have had x-rays taken recently at another dental office, you can ask them to forward a copy to us, or you can bring them yourself.

Bring along your insurance card, if you have one, as well as a payment method for services.

If You Have Additional Questions

We invite you to peruse our frequently-asked-questions section before you come in to see if we have answered your questions there. If we haven't, be sure to bring those questions or give us a call ahead of time. We want to do everything we can to ensure that you feel confident in your choice of Lee J. Martin, DMD, as your healthcare partner.
